Cal Builders, Inc is a general contractor based in Sacramento specializing in tenant improvements for dental, optical, and veterinarian offices. We seek to provide quality service to our clients. Our service area encompasses all of Sacramento valley and into the bay area.
Our team is looking for a construction administrator or assistant project manager with experience and/or knowledge of the construction field and processes. The admin will work on managing all documents of the construction process and assisting with invoicing, submittals, and project closeouts.

LIST OF JOB DUTIES
- Review Bid Documents and Send out Requests for Proposals to Subcontractors
- Update Bid Templates with Information from Bid Documents and Subcontractor Proposals
- Collect and Communicate RFIs to Owners and Designers regarding Plans and Specifications
- Collect Information to Draft Subcontracts and Contracts
- Collect pre-construction documents, such as Pre-lien Information and Insurance Certificates
- Send Submittal Requests to Subcontractors and Vendors for Owner/Designer Approvals
- Review Submittal documents against plans and specs for compliance
- Prepare Submittal Packets for self-performed work for Owner/Designer Approvals
- Track Material Ordering and Lead times after Submittal Approvals
- File Construction Documents in Digital Drive and Binders
- Collect and File Documents from Subcontractors Including Insurance, Pre-lien Notices, Change Orders, Submittals, and Invoices
- Draft Progress Billing and Final Billing Packets for Construction Projects
- Complete and Send Project Closeout Documents including Warranties and O & Ms
- Track Project Status against Construction Schedule and Provide Updates as Needed
- Open Job Folders and Update with Relevant Documents
- Respond to Project Team Emails and Phone Calls
- Coordinate Design with Architect and Engineer and ensure plans comply with scope
- Combine and prepare plan sets for Plan Check Submittals
- Complete documents required for plan check submittal per Jurisdiction guidelines
- File Pre-Lien Docs and Waiver Release Forms for Landlord Documents
- Complete Lender Package Requirements for Owners Prior to starting Projects
- Read Plans and Specifications in Order to Answer Questions from Subcontractors and the Field Team
HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Comprehension of Commercial Construction Processes and Documents
- Comprehension of dental office TI work and related codes
Salary Range:-- the compensation will be offered based off of experience and will be negotiated at the time of the job offer is extended
Job Type: Full-Time, 8-Hour Shift, Monday-Friday
