Duties
- Icing ,Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications and bakery standards
- Prepare cakes and baked goods by following established recipes and food safety guidelines, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Package finished products securely for retail display or customer takeout, maintaining hygiene and product integrity
- Assist with food production tasks such as mixing, baking, and assembling desserts as needed to support daily bakery operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work station in accordance with food handling safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about cake options, ingredients, and customization possibilities
- Support catering events or special orders by preparing decorated cakes for celebrations and occasions
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or a related culinary field with a strong portfolio of decorated baked goods
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment
- Hands-on experience with baking techniques, including mixing, baking, and finishing baked goods
- Familiarity with food industry equipment such as mixers, piping tools, knives, and decorating supplies
- Previous work in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly desirable, especially within catering or high-volume food production environments
- Strong knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of cakes and decorations
- Customer service experience that demonstrates effective communication skills and a friendly attitude
