Job Overview
We are seeking a full-time cake decorator to join our creative team of artists here at Cake Niche!
At Cake Niche, we're known for our custom birthday cakes. Our edible works of art range from buttercream drawings to full fondant sculptures.
Requirements
- Must have 1 year of cake decorating experience -- experience with fondant is even better!
- Hiring for Commitment, Not a "Summer Job"
- Must Be Available 9am-5pm Tuesdays - Saturdays
- Must be able to read and write in basic English
- Organization & Planning skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to Multitask---Complete multiple cakes at the same time
Responsibilities
- Perform task of opening and closing the store as needed
- Maintain clean and tidy workspace
- Clean equipment and tools after use
- Wash and put away dishes
- Make frostings and fillings for cakes, cupcakes, and dessert cups.
- Receive goods from the supplier, store goods in correct location
- Manage ingredient inventory and update order list
- Perform basic frosting for cakes and cupcakes
- Fill the Cake Case with cakes for sale and refill as needed
- Fulfill Custom Cake Orders with buttercream and fondant decorations
- Create bake list for cakes and cupcakes
- Fold Boxes for Cakes and Cupcakes
- Answer Phone Calls as Needed
- Help Customers as Needed
- Take out the garbage and recycling once a week and when needed
