Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients in accordance with safety standards.
• Support cooking activities by preparing simple dishes under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, equipment, and storage areas to meet sanitation guidelines.
• Handle food items safely during storage, retrieval, and transportation to prevent contamination.
• Help with meal assembly and serving during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Follow all food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices consistently throughout your shift.
• Support catering events or special functions by setting up serving stations and assisting with food distribution.

Experience

• Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Familiarity with menu planning, food handling, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous.
• Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment demonstrates strong food industry knowledge.
• Skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and food safety practices are highly valued.
• Candidates with culinary experience or kitchen experience will find this role an excellent stepping stone for career growth.
