Job description (Taproom Ambassador)

Responsibilities
● Providing informative weekend tastings.
● Always maintain a professional image and demeanor.
● Engaging customers to educate them about our brewery and product.
● Selling merchandise and beer
● Operating POS
● Greeting visitors to the brewery
● Changing kegs, washing glasses
● Stocking beer and merchandise
● Opportunities to work additional hours at any private events held at our brewery.
● Serving beer (quickly and efficiently)
● Pouring beer with proper glassware.
● Preparing food items
● Properly cleaning restrooms, toilets, equipment, bar/tabletops, benches, floors(sweeping/mopping every night), windows, taps, sinks, drains, etc. Maintaining a clean environment for our guests inside and outside. (a lot of cleaning)
● Maintaining a safe environment for our guests and employees by enforcing rules and regulating/monitoring customers intake (cutting them off if needed).
● Checking IDs
● Keeping inventory of products such as merch, cleaning products, etc.
● Laundry (towels and mop heads for reuse)
● Emptying trash and recycling.
● Working in a fast-paced environment while staying safe.
● Maintain TIPS certification.
● Setup and breakdown of taproom each day (according to checklist)
● Maintain a general knowledge of all beer styles, especially ours.
Skills/Requirements
● Must be 18 per CT law to sell and serve alcohol.
● 2 years’ service industry experience is preferred but we will train the right people.
● Great attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills
● Flexible availability, 10 to 20 hours per week depending on schedule (this job requires nights, weekends, and some holidays)
● Ability to communicate well and maintain a positive work environment.
● Genuine love and interest for great beer
● Certified Beer Server preferred
● Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
● Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
● TIPS certification
Hours of Operation
Our currently planned tap room hours of operation are planned to be:
● Monday – Wednesday: closed.
● Thursday: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
● Friday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
● Saturday: 11:00am – 10:00pm
● Sunday: 11:00am – 8:00pm
