What are the responsibilities and job description for the 7318 Instructional Assistant II - Cairo position at Cairo Elementary School?
BASIC FUNCTION: Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups typically in programs with exceptional children or equivalent programs; monitor and report student progress.
Instructional Assistant II incumbents work within a complex program typically requiring additional skills and characterized by increased independence of action.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and supply proof of:
A high school diploma and passed the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment;
or completion of a minimum of 48 semester hours of study at an institution of higher education;
or an associate (or higher) degree.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Also requires a physical exam, TB risk assessment, CAN check, state/national criminal background check and drug screen. 181 days; 7.25 hours per day. This is for the 2026-27 school year.
