Duties
- Assist orthodontist during various procedures including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance delivery and modifications with precision and efficiency
- Prepare treatment chair by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, and ensuring all tools are ready for use
- Take records Including, 3D scans, X-rays and photos while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
- Manage patient treatment notes using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of treatment rendered and future treatment needs
- Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices
- Help create and video social media posts and other marketing efforts within the community
- Trace cephalometric x-rays and manage ordering for the clinic
- Coordinate with the reception team to schedule appointments, manage patient charts and notes using patient management software, and handle general administrative duties
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on orthodontics preferred
