Job Description
We are looking for a 2nd shift Assembler II to operate high-speed large-scale automated assembly machines. This position will be a 3-6 month contract with potential to be hired on full time. The 2nd shift hours are 2:15 pm EST to 12:45 am EST, Monday through Thursday. This role will be on-site
What You'll Do
Responsible for the safe operation of assigned high-speed large-scale automated assembly machines
Makes complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including set-ups and changeovers
Performs quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP), documents specified measurements per print at required intervals
Performs daily/weekly/monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance
Performs tooling adjustment (e.g., sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins (pin-ou), keying features, bend stations, insertion stations)
Replaces sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.
Adjusts housing feed based on associated standards
Uses height indicator, ram optic, gauges and microscopic visual checks
Identifies and re-sets machine faults, clears jams, restarts production, removes and packages finished product
What You'll Need
Required:
Applies advanced skills, typically acquired through a combination of job-related vocational training and relevant work experience (4 years)
Performs advanced functions as part of development
May require external certification in some disciplines
Requires considerable judgment and initiative to accomplish tasks
Supports the development of solutions to problems of a recurring nature
Duties and tasks are varied and complex
May adapt procedures, techniques, tools, material, and/or equipment to resolve complex issues
Physical Demands:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Regularly required to:
Work on powered and non-powered equipment (e.g. forklift, golf cart, pallet jack)
Maneuver packages / material of any weight with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
Work from a secured ladder.
Push, pull squat, bend and reach
Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
