Job Description
CAI is seeking an Application Architect to create and maintain customized solutions for our client. As an Architect, you will be responsible for design, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based financial applications. This will be a full-time contract opportunity and Onsite in Tallahassee, FL.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database packages
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based financial applications
- Design and maintain data integration processes for application functionality and reporting
- Utilize Oracle Fusion Middleware for application deployment, security, and integration
- Ensure applications align with the clients' accounting practices from a technical perspective
- Ensure compliance with data security and PCI standards
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and implement solutions
- Monitor and ensure application performance, security, and compliance with Department and regulatory standards
What You'll Need
- 5 years of experience in application development using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL
- Experience with Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Middleware components (e.g., WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise financial systems
- Demonstrated experience ensuring PCI compliance in application development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
- Knowledge of application and data security best practices
- Experience working in a government or public sector environment
- Oracle certifications (e.g., PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate, Oracle APEX Developer, Oracle Middleware certifications) preferred
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
