Job Summary
The California Association of Health Facilities is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Reimbursement to lead initiatives related to state and federal reimbursement policies for long-term care facilities. This role is critical in shaping and implementing policy objectives at both the national and state levels, ensuring compliance and supporting our mission to serve members effectively
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policy objectives related to government reimbursement for long-term care.
- Monitor and analyze state and federal regulations impacting reimbursement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to advocate for policy positions.
- Provide technical expertise and educational resources to members through seminars, webinars, and written materials on reimbursement-related issues.
- Collect and analyze financial, utilization, and operational data from state and federal agencies.
- Provide economic analysis and tools for advocacy on issues impacting long-term care providers.
- Advise executive staff on Medi-Cal rate development and ensure compliance with California’s State Medicaid Plan Amendment.
- Maintain an audit review program to support providers and inform policy analysis.
- Analyze state budgets and legislative reports to identify reimbursement impacts and develop policy positions.·
Qualifications & SKILLS
- At least 7 years of experience in financial and data analysis, preferably in healthcare reimbursement.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of government reimbursement programs and healthcare financing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with California State Government and/or Legislature strongly desired.
- Background or experience in reimbursement methodology and rate calculation desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings clearly.
- Knowledge of government processes and regulatory compliance.
- Effective presentation and advocacy skills.
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
