Background: Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is a community health center providing medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to diverse underserved communities in Alabama. We are a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home and Joint Commission accredited organization, committed to increasing integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care. Purpose: The Facilities Lead will support the day-to-day operations of Cahaba Medical Care’s facilities and serve as a key support to the Facilities leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing assigned maintenance tasks and projects, following up with employees and vendors, responding to urgent facility needs, and ensuring work is completed properly and timely.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and able to work independently. This person should be comfortable identifying problems, making decisions within their area of responsibility, and bringing solutions—not just problems—to leadership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow up with employees to ensure assigned facilities and maintenance work is completed.
- Handle routine maintenance issues independently and determine when leadership involvement is needed.
- Identify potential facilities issues before they become larger or more costly problems.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety expectations.
- Assist with training, guiding, and supporting facilities team members.
- Take ownership of assigned facilities projects from start to completion.
- Assist with coordinating employee schedules and work assignments as needed.
- Serve as a point of contact for vendors when Facilities leadership is unavailable.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance and facilities requests.
- Maintain accurate facilities spreadsheets, tracking logs, and other documentation.
- Communicate effectively with leadership regarding ongoing projects, maintenance needs, concerns, and completed work.
- Provide regular updates and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
- Support the Facilities department in maintaining safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities across Cahaba locations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Field preferred.
- Previous experience providing leadership, guidance, or oversight to other employees preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond appropriately to urgent requests.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with employees, vendors, and leadership.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain spreadsheets and tracking documents.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Salary : $45,295 - $68,465
