Job Overview
We are looking for a loving, patient, dependable, and flexible team member to join our preschool as a Full-Time Floater.
The Floater plays an important role in supporting our teachers and creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for our children. Because this position works throughout the preschool, flexibility and a willingness to work with different age groups and classroom routines are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive care and supervision to children throughout the day.
- Float between different classrooms as needed to support teachers and students.
- Fill in for teachers when they are absent.
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and transitions.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, play, and learning experiences.
- Follow all preschool policies and safety procedures.
- Work cooperatively and positively with teachers, staff, children, and families.
- Be willing to adjust to changing classroom needs throughout the day.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must genuinely love working with children.
- Patient, nurturing, and kind.
- Dependable and responsible.
- Flexible and comfortable working in different classrooms and with different age groups.
- Able to step in and confidently support a classroom when a teacher is absent.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player.
- Previous childcare or preschool experience is preferred but not required.
