Escrow Officer
Job Summary & Objective
The Escrow Officer is responsible to effectively manage the real estate closing transaction for insuring title. This position requires the Escrow Officer to exercise extreme independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation which may arise during the escrow process.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the entire real estate closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements and other written instructions.
- Provide up to date communication with realtors, lenders, mortgage brokers and clients to ensure quick and accurate transactions
- Review title commitment and support documents before signing commitment jackets.
- Order, review and disclose matters on surveys, sales contracts, estoppels, searches and others
- Prepare CDs, Settlement Statements, Deeds and other settlement documents
- Prepare Title Commitments for lenders, brokers and or buyers & sellers
- Serve as an escrow officer, which includes the receipt and disbursement of funds
- Review all files before, during and after the closings to prevent and resolve any potential issues/claims
- Ensure that all title clearance items have been satisfied.
- Review recording documents before submission for final review and upload to Simplifile.
- Audit files before sending to underwriter for final policies.
- You are willing to perform other duties as assigned

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Outstanding client relationship and organizational skills
Education & Licensing
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Florida Title Agent License preferred
- Notary Public license
