Position Overview
Caffeina Roasting Company is seeking a Lead Barista / Café Shift Lead to help guide daily café operations and support team performance. This role is built on our four core pillars: Reliability, Excellence, Impact, and Focus.

Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Beverage Excellence
- Prepare high-quality espresso and coffee beverages to company standards
- Ensure consistency, presentation, and speed of service
Shift Leadership & Team Support
- Lead shifts by organizing workflow, delegating tasks, and maintaining efficiency
- Act as the primary point of contact for baristas during shifts
- Support team members and help resolve issues in real time
Training & Development
- Assist in onboarding and training new baristas
- Reinforce recipes, techniques, and customer service standards
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and build strong customer connections
- Address customer concerns and handle special requests professionally
Inventory & Operations
- Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed
- Place vendor orders and maintain organized inventory systems
- Communicate supply needs to management
Equipment & Café Standards
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all coffee equipment
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed
- Ensure café cleanliness, safety, and organization standards are upheld
Role Requirements
- Availability to work 5 shifts per week
- Experience with inventory management and vendor ordering
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to support and cover shifts as needed
- Participation in team meetings and café projects
