Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, bread, and pizza, ensuring quality standards are met
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using cake decorating techniques
- Package finished products efficiently for retail or catering purposes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Support food production processes for catering events or restaurant service as needed
- Uphold excellent customer service by ensuring products meet presentation standards and customer expectations
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts preferred
- Background in food production or food handling within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Skills in culinary techniques such as knife skills, baking, and food safety practices
- Experience working in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation, packaging, and presentation standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Prior experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is a plus
