Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene.
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and serving protocols.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
