Within our members-only sporting club, we are seeking enthusiastic and personable people who thrive in a collaborative and engaging environment.
As a key part of our café staff, you will play an integral role in shaping the member experience, providing outstanding service, and fostering a welcoming community atmosphere. Ideal candidates play a vital role in meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. We open at 5am and will require applicants to accept morning shifts, on site at 4:30am.

This is primarily a kitchen roll, but offers the ability to fully cross-train for a barista member roll.
Duties
- Meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Handle food safely and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Utilize kitchen tools, including knives, safely and effectively during food preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in catering events, assisting with food setup and presentation as needed.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
- Follow all dietary department guidelines to accommodate special dietary needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food preparation setting is mandatory.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, food handling practices, and culinary terminology is advantageous.
- A background in catering or experience working within the food industry will be considered a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
- An eagerness to develop culinary skills further are highly valued.
- Previous Barista experience is helpful.
