Market and Event Lead

Cafecito Mexican Bakery is looking for an energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Seasonal Market & Event Lead to represent our brand at farmers markets, festivals, corporate events, and community gatherings throughout the Greater Seattle area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with customers, and being part of a growing local business.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the company van safely to and from markets and events
• Load and unload bakery products, supplies, and equipment
• Set up and break down market booth displays
• Sell pastries, coffee, and beverages while providing excellent customer service
• Package pastries and prepare drinks for customers
• Operate Square POS and handle cash/card transactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional booth
• Track inventory and communicate product needs to management
• Represent Cafecito Mexican Bakery in a positive and professional manner

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Current Food Worker Card (Washington State Food Handler Permit) or ability to obtain before start date
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable standing for extended periods in various outdoor weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from our commercial kitchen
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site
• Saturday availability required Sunday availability is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working farmers markets, events, food service, coffee shops, or retail sales
• Experience driving cargo vans or larger vehicles
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Schedule:

• Seasonal position Saturdays required
• Additional weekday and weekend events available based on schedule
• Typical shifts range from 6–10 hours

Compensation:

• $20–$25 per hour depending on experience
