Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead operations in our food manufacturing facility. This role oversees the entire production process—from raw materials to finished goods—while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The Production Manager is responsible for production planning, team leadership, and effective use of ERP systems to drive performance and meet customer demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all production activities from raw material intake, processing, and packaging through to finished goods.

• Lead and manage production staff, including scheduling, training, performance management, and employee engagement.

• Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing labor and equipment utilization.

• Work closely with procurement, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are available and aligned with production needs.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and regulatory standards.

• Use ERP systems to manage production planning, monitor inventory levels, track performance, and generate reports.

• Monitor key production metrics (yield, waste, efficiency, downtime) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.

• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure production records are completed in a timely manner.

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management, and/or 5 years of production or operations management experience in food or beverage manufacturing.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, etc.) required

• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, production planning, and scheduling.

• Ability to interpret and analyze production data, KPIs, and ERP system outputs.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.

• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities across departments.

• Working knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, and HACCP principles.
