Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations in a fast-paced food service environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and staff supervision
- Oversee food preparation, food safety, and kitchen management to ensure high-quality standards
- Supervise and train staff in food handling, customer service, POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and operational procedures
- Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols
- Support budgeting processes and monitor operational costs to meet financial goals
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, catering, banquets, and special events such as weddings or corporate functions
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, onboarding new team members, and conducting staff training & development programs
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Lead efforts in hospitality management to create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with a background in team management, training & development, and shift management
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food industry best practices
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on hospitality management and customer service excellence
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead staff meetings effectively
