Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA. On-site is a requirement, remote or hybrid is not possible. This is an entry level design role that reports to Design Director and Client. The Client is a premiere global streetwear company specializing in men's outerwear, denim, knitwear, sportswear and headwear.
The Assistant Designer will collaborate with the design team to support the development and execution of product designs. Responsibilities include CAD sketching/drawing, creating tech packs, creating spec sheets, maintaining/updating ERP system, organize/track samples, conduct research for design/fabric inspiration. The role also involves coordinating with other departments/teams to meet project deadlines and maintain efficient workflows.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Adaptability to receive constructive direction and incorporate feedback
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing and production processes and the ability to prepare files for global suppliers
- Previous experience at apparel/fashion brand or relevant fashion/product education is required (1-2 years minimum)
