Duties
- Prepare ingredients and doughs for baking, adhering strictly to recipes and portion sizes
- Bake a wide range of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with consistency and flair
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques to meet presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and slicing machines safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following food safety protocols at all times
- Package baked goods carefully for sale or delivery while ensuring freshness and quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to catering or high-volume production needs
Skills
- Proven pastry preparation and baking experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knife skills and dough handling techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency in high-volume settings
