Job Summary:To prepare and maintain the highest level quality of food and sanitation in a creative way and be up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
Pay $20-$24 hourly
Position Reports To: Owners/Manager
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
- Approve and "polish" dishes before they reach the customer. Preparing and execution of Dinner Menus, Specials, Special Events
- Production of foods following recipes and guidelines for restaurant.
- Ensure quality control and consistency of production.
- Maintaining organization of food storage, meet sanitation and cleanliness standards.
- Follow cleaning schedule for kitchen and storage areas.
Working Guidelines:
Direct contact with all owners, managers, and employees.
Act professionally and can be flexible in a changing environment.
Excellent attendance is required with schedule flexibility determined by business needs.
Pay based on experience plus bonuses
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
