Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes in accordance with event requirements
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery
- Follow all kitchen safety protocols, including knife skills and proper equipment use
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen procedures, including meal preparation and food safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with menu planning, catering, and serving is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
