What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expeditor position at Cafe Hollander?
Your role as an Expeditor at a Lowlands Group Restaurant is extremely important to our success. Expeditors are responsible for helping maintain the efficiency of a restaurant kitchen by delivering dishes to the table. Although an expediter does not take orders from customer, he or she delivers items to the customer’s table when they are ready. This assists servers, and it also keeps up a constant flow of items from the kitchen to the table to the dishwasher
Essential Functions:
- Serves as food quality inspector to ensure final product preparations align with company standards before delivering items to guests
- Delivers food items in a timely manner to ensure optimum food temperature when it reaches the guests
- Menu Knowledge
- Greets guests when approaching table and matches food items with the correct guests
- Communicates any relevant messages to servers and/or bartenders regarding guests' requests/needs

General Physical Demands for the Position:
Expeditors will regularly stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, turn, lift, talk, walk, walk on uneven ground, carry and lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Team lift is required for anything over twenty-five (25) pounds or any awkward lifting.
