Position Overview
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to support our front- and back-of-house teams. This role is essential to keeping our café running smoothly and our guests happy. If you enjoy staying busy, working as part of a team, and being in a creative environment, this could be a great fit.
Schedule & Availability
- Café Gala operates primarily during daytime hours, with some evening shifts available depending on events and museum hours
- Weekend availability is required

Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Keep dish and kitchen areas clean, organized, and stocked
- Assist with bussing tables by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and helping maintain a clean dining area
- Support servers and baristas as needed during busy service periods
- Take out trash, recycling, and compost according to procedures
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Help with basic cleaning tasks throughout the café as needed
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or café experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
- Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with museum guidelines (no criminal record preferred)
