Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items following established recipes and safety guidelines, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision, maintaining balanced registers at shift end.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, dining spaces, and cashier stations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
- Follow food safety management protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service or fast-food restaurant environments, or café settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail sales transactions.
- Strong cash handling skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions.
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly attitude and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Previous retail or grocery store experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in sales and customer engagement.
