Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and slicers safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to streamline meal service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and safety protocols
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on food safety management
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
