Overview

Join our passionate and dedicated mental health team as a Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based psychological support to diverse populations. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. CAFA provides a robust array of serviced including group, individual, family, and couples counseling.

In addition to our traditional counseling, services CAFA also provides supportive and rehabilitative group therapy for individuals mandated by the legal system and or child welfare. Our clinic has over 30 years of expertise and a rich history of coordinating with community service programs including ODHS child welfare, county courts, and parole/ probation.

CAFA is a faith-aligned and spirituality-friendly community-based counseling clinic consisting of licensed therapists, counseling associates, and student interns who are willing to integrate faith and spirituality when requested, and equipped to serve any members of our community who are in need. As a teaching clinic we place a high priority on continuing education, and therapeutic certifications. We also offer training and certification in cutting edge therapeutic interventions such as neurofeedback, therapeutic art, music therapy, polyvagal-informed therapy, and play therapy.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM 5TR and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices (DBT, EMDR, IFS, etc...), through a trauma-focused framework.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and medical records requirements, including HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Facilitate intake assessments to determine client needs.
  • Utilize telehealth therapy platforms to expand access to mental health services while maintaining high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using EHR systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, caseworkers, parole/ probation officers, teachers, and community supports

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology, or related field; licensure or associate certification as required by state law (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health interventions and willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with individuals with a variety of mental health conditions and presenting concerns
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation standards and clinical dianostics
  • Skilled in conducting mental health assessments using diagnostic tools aligned with HIPAA guideline

Pay: $52,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
