Café Tolia is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Team Member to support daily café operations. This role involves welcoming customers, taking orders, assisting with beverage and food preparation, handling routine transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized café environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and comfortable working as part of a team in a busy coffee shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Take customer orders accurately and assist with basic menu questions
- Prepare coffee, beverages, and café items according to established procedures
- Operate the POS system and process customer payments accurately
- Communicate orders and customer requests clearly with café team members
- Maintain clean and organized counters, tables, and service stations
- Replenish cups, lids, ingredients, napkins, and other café supplies
- Assist with food and beverage service during busy periods
- Help organize dine-in, takeout, and pickup orders
- Support opening, closing, and other routine café duties
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures
- Work cooperatively with baristas and other team members
Qualifications
- Previous café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
- Friendly and professional approach to customer service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment
- Able to learn beverage preparation and POS procedures
