Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. Part Time position, 2 days a week available. Shifts are Thursday & Friday 7:30 am -3pm. Must be available both days.
Accelerated wage increase if that experience is in Craft/Specialty Coffee- Including Dialing & Tasting, Microfoam, Latte Art, Syrup & Alt milk making. Immediate start preferred.

Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Square POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in compliance with food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper cash management practices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; assist in restocking as needed.
- Demonstrate time management skills to efficiently complete tasks during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry as a Barista is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of various coffee types is a plus.
- Experience using POS systems such as Square is advantageous.
- Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and products.
