Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards, especially in fine dining or upscale settings.
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and proper food safety practices to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, specials, and dietary needs.
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Clear tables, bus tables when needed, and help maintain a tidy dining area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; experience with fine dining or nightclubs is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while multitasking efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and cashiering tasks.
- Experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles within the food industry is advantageous.
