What are the responsibilities and job description for the Poker Cashier-Full time (Lake Tahoe) position at Caesars Entertainment?
This position is responsible for the operation of the Poker Room bank. Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted him/her on a shift basis.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Provides prompt, friendly, and courteous service to all guests.
- Converts gaming checks, tokens and coin for gaming guests.
- Provides guests with overview of Caesars Rewards Program.
- Supplies chips and fills for dealers.
- Responsible for paying Poker Rewards.
- Buys, sells and balances cash and chips for main poker bank.
- Assists those on the front-line and trains New Hires to develop and learn Cashier functions.
- Verifies funds of assigned office and performs all related functions during assigned shift and is accountable for all transactions in assigned office.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous guest/customer service experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Literate and fluent in English
- Excellent guests service skills
- Must pass pre-employment Math test with score of 80% or better - 20 problem minimum
- Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming License
- Mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to accommodate schedule due to changing business demands.
- Ability to demonstrate a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
- Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time (4 hours).
- Visual and auditory range must include immediate environment.
- Mobility to move about the property
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
