Description
- Work varying shifts from 6 to 10 consecutive hours (30–40 hours weekly), including day, evening, night, and weekend schedules.
- Contribute to a corporate culture rooted in enthusiasm, collaboration, transparency, creativity, and a people‑first mindset.
- Participate in stimulating technical challenges within a leading simulator‑training organization.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on simulators and associated systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting technical issues on simulator systems.
- Independently diagnose and resolve routine simulator/system issues.
- Use the Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.
- Train junior technicians in foundational skills.
- Complete assigned training and pursue continuous professional development.
- Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight procedures on all simulators.
- Perform visual system alignments.
- Run and evaluate QTG results.
- Support refurbishment and hardware modification projects.
- Learn and comply with the CAE Quality Management System.
- Provide timely customer support and address customer technical needs.
- Conduct logistics duties including parts receiving, repair processes, and testing/validation.
- Maintain simulator equipment and facility cleanliness.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed.
- Support the technical services group with additional tasks.
- 2‑year technical degree or equivalent related training.
- 3 years of direct simulator experience, including at least 1 year of relative simulator experience for the assigned location.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to system level on multiple simulator types.
- Proficiency using a wide range of test equipment.
- Ability to use and interpret diagnostic tools on multiple simulator types.
- Demonstrated ability to perform PMs, preflight, and post‑flight checks on any simulator in the fleet.
- Ability to communicate regularly and perform repetitive hand motions.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office tools and suite.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in‑depth visual adjustments and setups on at least one type of visual system.
- Demonstrated ability to support refurbishments and hardware modification projects.
