Description
As a Gulfstream GV Instructor Pilot at CAE, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of aviation professionals. You will deliver high‑quality simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory requirements, CAE’s approved curriculum, and customer expectations.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Deliver simulator, flight, and/or classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualification programs.
- Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings aligned with CAE standards.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) guiding clients throughout their training journey.
- Complete all required administrative tasks, including training records, qualification tracking, and recommendations for remedial training when needed.
- Contribute to curriculum and courseware development when required.
- After approximately 1.5 years and based on business needs, obtain qualification as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
- Perform duties requiring regular movement (stairs, ladders, confined spaces), periods of standing or sitting, and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs as outlined in CAE’s physical requirement standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold, or meet qualifications to receive, an unrestricted ATP certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
- Strong passion for teaching, supported by excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and internet‑based applications).
- Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (mobility, prolonged standing/sitting, occasional lifting).
- Gulfstream‑rated or Gulfstream‑experienced pilot, ideally located in or near Las Vegas, or open to relocation to the American Southwest.
- Experience operating business aircraft.
- Prior training or instructional experience.
- Ability to tailor instruction to a diverse customer base and maintain accurate records in accordance with FAA and CAE policies.
- Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to CAE’s “red carpet” customer experience standards.
- Flexible vacation policy and schedule.
- Paid holidays, including scheduled time off between December 25 and January 1.

- Ability to continue “flying” without extended time away from home.

- Occasionally move into different positions in various environments, including confined spaces
- Remain in stationary positions constantly, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

- Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds
