CAE is seeking an Air Carrier Compliance Lead to support air carrier compliance operations across Part 121, 125, and 135 operators. This role serves as a key subject matter expert, providing regulatory oversight, audit leadership, and operational support while partnering closely with internal teams and external operators to ensure consistent adherence to FAA requirements.
Description
  • Lead and coordinate audits for Part 121, 125, and 135 operations, including Operations Specifications, Training Programs, SOPs, checklists, and Instructor/Check Airman records.
  • Identify compliance gaps, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure consistency across operator files.
  • Maintain, update, and control manuals and required documentation for assigned air carrier certificates.
  • Provide daytoday operational oversight for assigned teams and compliance activities.
  • Manage the compliance portfolio for key account operators, including onboarding for Part 121/125/135 operators and verification of manuals and regulatory documentation.
  • Oversee weekly reservation reports and dashboards to support training schedules and timely operator assistance.
  • Notify operators of instructor status changes and support training managers in identifying qualified replacements.
  • Communicate updates to training program templates and regulatory changes across the operator network and key accounts.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding and training materials for Air Carrier Specialists.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for specialists, ensuring consistent interpretation of FAA regulations and supporting highpriority compliance requests.
  • Develop, document, and maintain team processes to support business continuity and consistent compliance delivery.
  • Participate in and lead meetings related to compliance issues, regulatory updates, and process improvements.
  • Support crossfunctional partners (Training, Quality, Safety) with compliance expertise and urgent regulatory requests.
  • Maintain and track Instructor, Check Airman, and TCE records, including support for required 24month operator audits.
  • Utilize computerized recordkeeping systems to compile data and prepare compliance and audit reports.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture through timely communication and dissemination of FAA updates.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives to improve departmental efficiency and regulatory adherence.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 3-6 years of experience in aviation compliance, regulatory administration, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations applicable to air carrier operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated professionalism when interacting with regulators, operators, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and webbased systems.
  • Experience using computerized recordkeeping or compliance management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or auditing Part 121, 125, or 135 operators.
  • Knowledge of FAR Parts 61, 91, 121, 125, and 135 (including Appendices E and F).
  • Familiarity with CAE Operations Manuals and FAA Order 8400.10.
  • Experience developing training, onboarding, or compliance documentation.
  • Experience working crossfunctionally with Training, Safety, and Quality teams.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Webex, and enterprise CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally climbs ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles.
  • May move through tight or confined spaces.
  • Frequently remains stationary (sitting or standing) for long periods.
  • Occasionally moves between work areas to accomplish tasks.
  • Occasionally lifts or adjusts items up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions.
  • The primary work location for this position is at the Dallas Training Facility in Dallas, Texas
  • Minimal travel may be required (less than 10%).
