We're partnering with an innovative technology company building next-generation AI products powered by autonomous agents and large language models.
This is not a traditional software engineering role. You'll join a dedicated AI Research & Development team, experimenting with the latest agentic AI frameworks, designing autonomous workflows, and rapidly transforming ideas into production-ready products.
If you enjoy solving difficult engineering problems, experimenting with emerging AI technologies, and building systems that push beyond today's AI capabilities, we'd like to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Design and build production-grade Agentic AI applications.
- Research, prototype and productionise next-generation AI capabilities.
- Build autonomous multi-agent systems capable of reasoning, planning and task execution.
- Develop intelligent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK or similar.
- Build enterprise Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures across structured and unstructured data.
- Implement tool calling and function calling to integrate AI agents with APIs, databases and external services.
- Design evaluation frameworks to continuously improve agent quality, reasoning and retrieval accuracy.
- Optimise AI systems for latency, reliability, scalability and cost.
- Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering to rapidly deliver new AI features from concept through to production.
What we're looking for
- Commercial experience building production Generative AI or Agentic AI applications.
- Strong Python software engineering experience.
- Experience with one or more modern agent frameworks, including:
- LangGraph
- CrewAI
- AutoGen
- OpenAI Agents SDK
- Semantic Kernel
- Experience building production RAG systems using vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus or FAISS.
- Experience deploying AI services using FastAPI, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval strategies, embeddings and LLM optimisation.
- Experience integrating AI with enterprise APIs, tools and data platforms.
Nice to have
- Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Browser automation (Playwright, Browser Use, Selenium or similar).
- AI evaluation frameworks such as RAGAS, LangSmith or TruLens.
- Experience building autonomous AI agents that can perform real-world actions.
- Knowledge graphs or graph databases.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.
- Startup or high-growth product experience.
Why apply?
- Join a highly technical AI Research & Development team focused on solving complex engineering challenges.
- Build autonomous AI products using the latest agentic AI technologies rather than maintaining existing systems.
- Work with modern LLMs, multi-agent architectures and cutting-edge AI tooling.
- Influence technical direction and experiment with emerging AI frameworks as they evolve.
- Competitive compensation, bonus and the opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered products.
