Cadillac/Wexford Transit Authority (CWTA) is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Worker to support public transportation operations through facility maintenance, fleet cleaning, and groundskeeping. Key Responsibilities:
- Facility maintenance and janitorial services
- Cleaning offices, restrooms, garage areas, and common spaces
- Bus washing, fueling, and pre-trip inspections
- Snow removal, lawn care, and seasonal grounds maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Evening Shift
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Michigan CDL Type B with Passenger and Airbrake Endorsement (or be willing to obtain).
- Physical & Medical Requirements: Must pass a medical examination and drug test (including random testing per MDOT regulations); ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Other Requirements: Clean driving record. No criminal record. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in emergencies.
