Overview
Are you looking to earn extra income? We are looking for a contractual LPC or MSW to service survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in trauma and demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals through various challenges. This role requires a professional who can provide effective therapeutic interventions, facilitate group sessions, and work collaboratively with clients to promote mental health and well-being related to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' emotional, psychological, and social needs.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including art therapy and crisis intervention strategies, to support client progress.
- Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, service plans, and case notes.
- Engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, but specifically those experiencing Domestic Violence or Sexual Assault.
Experience
- A Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in clinical counseling or related mental health services is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds are essential.
- Active Michigan State Licensure
