Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Sales.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Support department leaders through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Monitor labor, expenses, and operational performance to achieve property goals.
- Help drive success in guest satisfaction, employee engagement, sales growth, property appearance, and financial performance.
- Serve as Manager on Duty and assume General Manager responsibilities when needed.
- Support hotel operations wherever necessary and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership abilities with a strong work ethic and self-motivated attitude.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and collaborate with team members at all levels.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
- Experience working with hotel property management systems (PMS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hotel management or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of the Deadwood/Black Hills hospitality and tourism market.
- Experience with corporate, group, and leisure travel segments.
- Marriott brand experience is a plus.
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Ability to move throughout the property and assist in operational areas when necessary.
