General Company Description We are the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau, a Destination Marketing Organization promoting year-round recreation and travel experiences in Cadillac, Michigan. General Role Description I am looking to hire one full-time Communications or Marketing Manager, and potentially one or two part time supporting roles for on-site Marketing and Communications based in Cadillac, MI. The role(s) include developing and executing marketing campaigns that promote local attractions, events, and seasonal activities, across digital and traditional channels. Daily responsibilities may include creating and updating content for the website and social media, coordinating promotions with community partners, and supporting visitor information requests. The position involves conducting market research, tracking campaign performance, and assisting with sales outreach to tourism partners, businesses, and event organizers. Team members will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging, strong brand presence, and high-quality customer service for visitors and
partners.General Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage visitors, partners, and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with Market Research and Marketing Strategy to analyze audiences, identify trends, and plan targeted campaigns.
- Sales and relationship-building skills to support tourism partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborative promotions.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (social media, email marketing, website content management) and basic analytics.
- Ability to work on-site in Cadillac, MI, manage multiple projects, and collaborate in a small-team environment.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project follow-through.
- Interest in outdoor recreation, travel, or tourism; prior experience in destination marketing or hospitality is a plus.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
