What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Worker position at Cadillac Area Public Schools?
POSITION SUMMARY: Maintenance and care of school property and grounds including, but not limited to, seasonal clean-up, trash and debris removal and disposal, mowing, trimming, landscaping, planting, irrigating, raking, sweeping, athletic field prep and lining, equipment cleaning, maintenance and operation, snow removal, and general labor. Other duties and/or tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 18 years of age * Ability to work well in both alone and team settings * Ability to listen to and/or read and follow directions and schedules with limited supervision * Ability to work outside in all types of conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, sun, snow, etc.) * Ability to sit, stand, squat, walk, push, climb, bend, twist and carry for prolonged periods of time * Ability to properly lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds * Ability to safely maintain and operate tools and equipment with instruction * Grounds care, equipment maintenance and operations experience preferred but not required * Ability to be on call for snowplowing
