What are the responsibilities and job description for the Venture Capital Intern position at Cadenza?
Cadenza is a thesis-driven venture capital firm focused on AI, blockchain, and other emerging technologies. As part of our team, interns will gain hands-on experience across investing, portfolio management, and firm operations. Please note: this is an unpaid internship. Preference will be given to candidates who can work on-site. Work schedules are flexible to accommodate students’ coursework and other commitments.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting investment research and pipeline tracking
- Assisting with financial analysis, data collection, and market research
- Contributing to due diligence and internal reviews of potential opportunities
- Helping prepare materials for internal meetings and external presentations
- Assisting with operations projects, including knowledge management, CRM, and reporting
- Perform business, financial, and operational analysis across portfolio companies to help influence senior management decision-making
- Participating in ad hoc initiatives across investments, portfolio support, and firm operations
What we are looking for:
- Undergraduate or recent graduate in finance, business, engineering, computer science, economics, or related field
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated interest in venture capital, startups, and/or emerging technologies
- Proficiency in programming (Python, data science, or related skills) preferred, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate within a team
- Proactive thinking with a creative problem-solving approach
