Diesel Mechanic
Overview
Cadence Petroleum Group is a fast-growing automotive, commercial, and industrial lubricant distributor in the United States. We are currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic for our Mobile, Alabama facility. This position is not just about maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the company’s fleet of tractors but also about contributing to our continued growth. Responsibilities and Duties but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring the company’s fleet is operational efficiently to deliver products to our customers safely
- With the use of the company’s tools, be able to research, log, and complete minor, basic repairs
- Weekly PM checks to ensure DOT requirements are met
- Changing out brakes
- Troubleshoot minor electrical issues
- Perform service work on equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and miscellaneous
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Fleet Department
Qualifications of Diesel Technician:
- 2 years of previous experience as a technician/ diesel technician
- Experience with repairs and troubleshooting of engines such as Cummins, Detroit, and Cat preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
- This job regularly requires employees to work while using their hands, gripping fingers and hands, and reaching with hands and arms.
- The employee must frequently sit, walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend at the waist.
- Communicate well verbally written. Hear for audible sounds and alarms
- The employee is occasionally required to lift 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift and move up to 65 pounds unassisted and push or pull 200 pounds with appropriate moving and safety equipment.
