Company Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The SaaS Manager leads the coordination, governance, and operational effectiveness of Cadence Education business applications and SaaS platforms. This role serves as a key bridge between department owners, product teams, IT, field operations, HR, finance/billing, vendors, legal/compliance, and support teams. The position is responsible for translating business needs into clear requirements, coordinating cross-functional project execution, managing escalations, improving processes, strengthening system adoption, and helping ensure business systems are reliable, scalable, well-governed, and aligned to business outcomes. This role is designed to grow beyond traditional SaaS administration into broader business systems and product operations leadership. The role may begin as a senior individual contributor / acting manager with responsibility for coordination, standards, team development, and execution, with formal people management responsibilities evolving based on organizational needs.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the organization’s SaaS and business systems portfolio, ensuring priorities, roadmaps, risks, dependencies, and initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and vendors to gather requirements, define solutions, and translate operational needs into clear system enhancements and project deliverables.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve process, policy, system, and operational challenges while driving stakeholder alignment and accountability.
  • Coordinate system implementations, enhancements, pilots, releases, and enterprise projects, maintaining project plans, timelines, risks, decisions, and communication plans.
  • Oversee high-priority system escalations, ensuring timely resolution, effective vendor management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of support processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, integrations, reporting solutions, and data quality initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and business outcomes.
  • Support SaaS governance and application lifecycle management, including system ownership, vendor performance, licensing, compliance considerations, enhancement prioritization, and value realization.
  • Provide leadership and direction to analysts and support team members by establishing standards, coaching best practices, and promoting accountability, documentation quality, and structured problem solving.
  • Lead change management and user adoption efforts through training, communication, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and feedback-driven continuous improvement.
  • Ensure system changes and business processes comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, operational controls, testing standards, and documented approval processes.
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    ·         Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale. 

    ·         Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener. 

    ·         Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills. 

    ·         Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes. 

    ·         Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker.

    ·         Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm.  

    ·         Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills. 

    ·         Working knowledge of SaaS platforms, business applications, vendor support models, reporting/data concepts, integrations, APIs, or workflow automation.

    ·         Ability to understand business impacts across operations, billing, enrollment, HR, reporting, compliance, and field/user workflows

    ·         Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

    Education or equivalency:

    ·         Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, technology, operations, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

    Experience:

    ·         Requires a minimum of five (5) years of school operations, industry experience, or in school director or assistant school director role; or a related role that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
