What are the responsibilities and job description for the LUMPER/WH LABOR position at CADECO?
DEPARTMENT: WAREHOUSE
AREA: ALL WAREHOUSES
POSITION: FLOATER/LUMPER
REPORTS TO: WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
OCCUPATION DESCRIPTION: Processes the tea blends. Helps with all the other activities scheduled in the warehouse, where additional support is required (load and unload trailers, product transfers, cuts, etc.)
SKILLS:
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Excellent spatial reasoning skills
ABILITIES:
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift 80 Lb loads.
- Extent Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:
Follow the instructions given by the WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR, to support in the activities required according to the daily scheduled tasks.
- Process the tea blends, ensuring that the orders are carried out as indicated, and that the blending procedure is followed.
- If it is required, follow the instructions given by the Forklift Operator or the Annex Supervisor, to load, unload, bagoff or cut any product.
- If it is required, help unloading the trucks, palletizing the bags so that the pallets will keep their structure while stored and loaded, weighing each pallet as indicated, and following the tare out procedure.
- Follow the instructions given by the Forklift Operator, to transfer soluble, green or decaff coffee.
- Clean the working area after each load, and keep the warehouse and its surroundings clean.
