The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention (Cade Museum), a non-profit 501(c)3 located in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking to hire an adaptable, creative, and dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Guest Services Associate. This is a part-time position in a small startup, casual, entrepreneurial environment. Guest Services Associates must be available to work during museum general admission hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Guest Services Associates are guest-facing, customer service roles and are responsible for creating a welcoming, positive experience for all visitors, members, and donors. This position supports day-to-day museum operations including admissions, membership sales, gift shop sales, group and field trip check-in, and general guest assistance. Guest Services Associates should be comfortable engaging with the public, handling transactions, answering questions, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate must be reliable and dependable, self-motivated, and proactive. A positive, team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and attention to detail are a must!
General Responsibilities
- Greet, orient, and assist visitors throughout their museum experience
- Process admission, membership, and special program sales through face-to-face, phone, and online transactions
- Check in groups and field trips in accordance with Museum procedures
- Promote and sell Museum memberships
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Complete Museum opening and closing procedures
- Maintain a welcoming, presentable lobby with current signage and handouts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready gift shop
- Process gift shop sales and assist with stocking and inventory
- Work collaboratively as part of the Cade Team
- Demonstrate commitment to The Cade Museum's vision, mission, and values
- Perform other duties as necessary or assigned

- Previous customer service, retail, or cash handling experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to pass Level 2 background check
