SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer, coordinates district-wide accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Implements department objectives, based upon the CPSB Priorities, the school board, and the superintendent.
- Develops performance objectives and prepares a professional growth plan supporting division and school system goals.
- Coordinates training and collaborative meetings with the Chief Academic Officer, Director of Instruction, Directors of School Performance, Director of Exceptional Children, Principals, and Instructional Specialists to identify data trends for goal setting at the school and teacher level.
- Works collaboratively with Division Staff to coordinate and maintain Super App development, submission, revisions, and/or approvals.
- Researches academic return on investment of instructional tools, resources, projects & or training based on review of data.
- Organizes, plans, and communicates information related to School Choice collaboratively with Area Directors, Principals, the Director of Exceptional Children, and the Director of Attendance.
- Recommends to the Director of Instruction new or adjustments to existing policies, procedures, plans, and programs for attaining instructional objectives, improving performance of students, schools, and staff.
- Plans for evaluation of instructional goals and objectives aligned with the Caddo Priorities.
- Develops and organizes professional learning aligned to assessment and accountability, including district and school-level and teacher-level goal setting.
- Develops and administers the Pupil Progression Plan.
- Conducts performance observations and evaluations of immediate staff.
- Provides interpretation and analyses of school test data for school personnel and provides assistance in using test results to impact student achievement.
- Designates the responsibility and authority for assigned personnel.
- Adheres to established lines of communication through the chain of command.
- Adheres to the policies and procedures established by the board.
- Communicates with appropriate state agencies and testing companies.
- Assists school staff as assigned in reviewing data used to inform a school-based plan of action.
- Supports school leadership teams to meet the state accountability requirements.
- Plans and provides materials and training for the administration of standardized tests.
- Attends all training & informational meetings pertaining to assessment led by the LDOE.
- Assists in the equitable solution of complaints, concerns, and problems in the areas of responsibility.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages supervisors and specialists assigned to Accountability & Data. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree; at least seven years of job-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Should satisfy Louisiana requirements for a teaching certificate with Parish or City School Supervisor of Instruction authorization, or Educational Leader 1 or 2, as stated in Bulletin 746 (as revised). Successful experience as a teacher and administrator preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or the school board.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
