Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Warehouse Technician to work a 12-week contract and support daily operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining organized inventory, and assisting with shipping preparation.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with industrial materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and unpack incoming shipments (cardboard and wooden crates) using safety-approved tools
- Store materials accurately on designated shelves for production use
- Handle and organize materials including (but not limited to) titanium rings and aluminum components
- Transport materials to designated storage areas at least twice daily
- Maintain stock levels in warehouse “supermarket” shelving on a weekly basis
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory verification for multiple material groups
- Communicate inventory counts to internal personnel for system entry (no system input required)
- Prepare finished goods for shipment ensuring proper packaging and securement
- Load finished goods onto trailers using a forklift
- Replace and prepare shipping containers on a weekly schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S standards) including daily housekeeping and waste disposal
- Attend team meetings and follow established schedules for breaks and lunch
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, material handling, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to safely operate or willingness to learn:
- Forklift
- Overhead crane
- Familiarity with basic hand tools (e.g., hand drill, safety cutters)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and inventory handling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Industrial / warehouse setting
- Required PPE:
- Hard hat
- Cut-resistant gloves
- Additional PPE as required
- Exposure to heavy materials, machinery, and active work zones
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)
- Overtime available as needed
- 1099 contractor position (12-week duration, potential extension based on performance)
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on workload

- This role does not involve direct interaction with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
- Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Background in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial environments is a plus
