Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role, based in New York, NY. The Logistics, Inventory & After-Sales Coordinator ensures the efficient handling, control, and availability of all physical products within the company. The role sits between operational logistics and analytical inventory control, combining hands-on warehouse responsibilities with stock monitoring, quality control, and after-sales logistics support. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, safeguarding product quality, and ensuring smooth order preparation and fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Merchandise Reception & Quality Control
- Receive incoming merchandise, components, and finished products from suppliers and manufacturers.
- Perform physical and administrative receiving checks (quantities, references, documentation, compliance with purchase orders).
- Conduct initial quality inspections in accordance with company standards and escalate discrepancies or defects.
- Ensure proper product identification, tagging, and system registration.
2. Storage & Stock Organization
- Organize and maintain secure, efficient, and traceable storage of all inventory items.
- Ensure proper handling and storage conditions adapted to high-value jewelry products.
- Maintain clear location management and stock traceability within the ERP or inventory management system.
- Implement and maintain best practices to optimize storage capacity and accessibility.
3. Order Preparation & Logistics Operations
- Prepare and verify orders for internal use, client deliveries, or transfers between locations.
- Ensure accuracy in picking, packing, labeling, and shipping documentation.
- Coordinate shipments with logistics partners and monitor delivery follow-up when required.
- Maintain packaging standards aligned with brand positioning and product protection.
4. Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Take full ownership of stock accuracy and integrity.
- Plan and execute periodic stock counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain real-time inventory updates in the company systems.
- Monitor stock movements and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
5. Inventory Analysis & Controls
- Monitor stock levels and alert relevant teams regarding low stock or replenishment needs.
- Support demand and replenishment planning through stock data analysis.
- Track and report inventory KPIs such as stock accuracy, aging, and turnover.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance stock reliability and operational efficiency.
6. After-Sales Logistics Support
- Manage physical flows related to repairs, returns, exchanges, and after-sales service.
- Track items sent to workshops or suppliers and ensure proper follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records of after-sales movements and timelines.
- Coordinate internally with customer service, production, and suppliers when required.
Profil and Skills
Experience
- Experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in luxury goods, jewelry, or high-value products is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of stock management principles and inventory control methods.
- Comfortable working with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
